***APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTINGS***

Dear colleagues,

Our university is *planning* on re-opening campus later this August in a
hybrid environment - a limited number of students will live on campus,
others nearby, and still others will participate remotely, largely by their
choice. We are still closed awaiting direction from our county/CDC on
re-opening. We began limited curbside service for faculty early on, and we
are planning curbside service for students if/when we re-open. This
service clearly will not reach our remote students. Though we try to
replicate a print title or DVD in online format whenever possible for
student requests, we can't always secure an online version.

Have any of you in academic libraries begun or plan to begin a service to
mail physical items to students who are remote to your campus? If you
have, can I reach out to you to talk about your plans - how you will manage
the process with labor and costs of shipping, your expectations for the
return of materials, any materials that you will not be able to ship, etc.?

Thanks in advance,
Laura
