Associate University Librarian for Content Discovery
Due to unforeseen challenging circumstances this semester, we are extending
the first consideration date to May 8, 2020. We look forward to hearing
from you.
Are you looking to apply your leadership skills in a new setting? Are you
looking to take a step into library administration? We hope you’ll consider
joining our team at Rod Library! We are looking for two creative and
strategic Associate University Librarians, to lead our Content Discovery
and Learning and Research Divisions. Due to a retirement and an internal
promotion the two positions are open at the same time. Rod Library is at
the heart of the University of Northern Iowa and is home to a dynamic group
of faculty and staff dedicated to student success. The Cedar Valley in
northeastern Iowa is a vibrant community with a thriving arts scene;
abundant outdoor recreation including over 110 miles of paved, soft, and
water trails; and a low cost of living.
The University administration has decided to move forward with the searches
during this fluid time of the COVID-19 situation. The University
administration will continue to monitor the situation and search details
may change. We wish everyone good health.
If you have any questions about the position, please don't hesitate to get
in touch with the search committee chair, Ellen Neuhaus (

Stay safe. We look forward to hearing from you!
