Outrageous! I haven’t seen anything over $500.

Subject: [ALCTS-colldv] educational pricing for films
Dear Colleagues,
We recently got a request from a faculty member to purchase a film
for $1000. and it was quoted as "educational pricing." I've never seen
pricing like that before. I think it was an additional $350 to add PPR.
Usually we see pricing around $350 - $695.
Has anyone else gotten a quote like this for a single film?
I'm just trying to figure out if we've been super lucky, or if the price
is as outrageous as it seems to me.
Thanks much for sharing your thoughts on this.
