Dear Colldv Listserv,
I am a library science student intern at the University of Toronto Libraries' Collection Development Department, and I am conducting a scan on publishers that have short, unnumbered academic series in print. The scope of the scan is to review what their offerings are, and get a general grasp on bibliographic characteristics of this type of book.
Currently, I'm going over titles received at the University of Toronto Libraries, but I would be grateful if Colldv Listserv members could help me by contributing any publishers they've encountered in their work!
I'm defining short series as print titles that are less than 250 pages, meant to be read in 2-3 hours, and are sometimes small in size (around 19cm). Some examples I've found so far:
* Polity's Why It Matters and Theory Redux series
* Routledge Focus
* Palgrave Pivot
Please let me know if you need any more information about what is/isn't a short series. Thank you in advance!
Best,
Karen Ho
