Earlier this week, some of our staff were working to make extra room in a
space for rare and special collections, and discovered some uncataloged Bureau
of Mines documents that were associated with a now-closed metallurgy research
center in the region. They are bound copies of quarterly progress reports, and
have the added wrinkle of being marked as "Not for distribution outside Bureau
of Mines under any circumstances" at the early end (1963) or "For United
States Government use only" at the later end (1975). Has anyone else run
across issues like this, and how did you handle documents like that? Thanks
for any assistance.
