The ALCTS Collection Management Section invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2018 ALA Midwinter Conference in Denver, Colorado. This session will take place on Sunday, February 11, from 4:30 – 5:30pm.
All topics related to collection management are welcome. Some suggestions include, but are not limited to:
· Strategies for building diverse collections
· Promoting library collections
· Trends in selection (e.g. dedicated selectors v. liaisons)
· Impact of demand driven acquisition on budgets, composition of collections
· Collection management for emerging format (e.g. datasets, streaming videos)
· Collection analysis tools and projects
Proposals from all types of libraries are welcome. Submit proposals by October 31st<https://goo.gl/forms/1e9WIxxHPWc9pzeG2>. The committee will review and respond to applicants by mid-November.
