***Please excuse cross-posting *** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 10, 2017 Charleston Conference: Date Change for 2017 Charleston, South Carolina – Please note that the dates for the 2017 Charleston Library Conference have been shifted up by one day to Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10. The change was necessitated by a scheduling error at the Charleston Gaillard Center, but we think there will be several happy byproducts for our attendees, including lower hotel guest room rates and travel costs. 2017 Conference Dates: · Monday and Tuesday, November 6 and 7: Preconferences and Seminars · Tuesday, November 7: Charleston Vendor Showcase · Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 8, 9, and 10: Main Conference Our 2017 theme, important deadlines, and more information will be available soon. It is designed to be a collegial gathering of individuals from different areas who discuss the same issues in a non-threatening, friendly, and highly informal environment. Presidents of companies discuss and debate with library directors, acquisitions librarians, reference librarians, serials librarians, collection development librarians, and many, many others.
