His publications include: the My Life series, Mac Slater Coolhunter and Two Wolves, a YA crime-mystery novel which was released as On the Run in the USA. We are delighted that Tristan will give the Opening Keynote Address on Monday 19th September 2016.] Library professionals, academics, researchers, authors, teachers and students with an interest in discussing and learning more about the vital role libraries play in schools and the broader community are invited to attend the second International Library Symposium on Queensland's Gold Coast in September, 2016. Symposium Theme: Space and Place, Power and Purpose The library profession is one of the most dynamic components of modern education. Librarians and teachers who endeavour to endorse their professional standing and intellectual credibility are not only obliged to reassess and augment their services, but recreate their physical 'space and place' as a means of affirming their academic and cultural 'power and purpose'. Symposium Structure: The International Library Symposium will feature a series of keynote presentations from nationally and internationally recognised educators, authors, creators and commentators.
