Our academic college offers a small print reference section and an
online reference collection. We serve multiple locations so the titles
that are online tend to save us money and increase accessibility.
Because our students may be required to use a particular reference
title for their program, we do see some use of both collections.

Regarding online reference, we have been particularly pleased with
Credo's 100 ebook option. We can choose up to 100 titles to activate at
one time for an annual price (not dependent on titles selected). They
offer medical reference (as well as general reference), which is
particularly a cost-savings for us.

In the academic world, reference is not dead. You just have to choose
your formats and titles based on student needs.
