Reminder: we are accepting proposals through this Friday, December 13.
The ALCTS Role of the Professional Librarian in Technical Services
Interest Group (RPLTS IG) is seeking proposals for presentations at ALA
Midwinter 2014, in Philadelphia, PA. RPLTS will meet from 10:30-11:30 on
Saturday, January 25th.
All topics related to the role of the professional librarian in
technical services are welcome, and presenters will be allotted
approximately 20 minutes, with a short time for questions after the
presentations.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
* Leadership in technical services
* Emerging roles for technical services/technical services librarians
* New staffing models in technical services
* Training (such as RDA training or E-Resources Management training, and
if it differs for professionals versus non-professional staff)
If you are interested in presenting, please contact Betsy Appleton
(eapplet1_at_gmu.edu) or Stephanie Rodriguez (sgehring_at_Central.UH.EDU) by
December 13, 2013, with a topic and brief description of your presentation.
