Book buyers
From:"Pierce, Linda" <pierce_at_gonzaga.edu> <mailto:pierce_at_gonzaga.edu>
We are doing a large scale weeding project this year and are looking for book buyers who buy bulk collections. Our goal is to get them out of here as quickly as possible, once all decisions have been made. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Linda,
We make extensive use of Better World Books for our medium and large
scale de-accessioning. We have been very happy with their cooperation
and performance. Rather than my outlining their services, here's the
link to the library program site.

Better World Books is a good option if you want to get books shipped out
quickly and easily. If you're looking to get a large monetary return,
they may not be the best option. They have good documentation of what
they do at their website:

Linda:
Here is one buyer. Please see the following attachment from Zubal Books.
I have contacted Mr. Zubal in July for several hundred used law books we
discarded. He was not interested in our offer. So, good luck to you.

*Subject:* [Info] We need your unwanted books. March 2013
Dear Clement,
Greetings. I'm emailing to let you know that we are currently buying
books and monographs in all fields of study.
If your library has books it no longer needs, please email me with a
brief description of the collection.
We pay immediately and remove all items at our expense. [There is no
waiting for "consignment checks" or other promises of payment!]
We've been dealing with libraries, researchers, students and collectors
since 1961 and are always in need of books to satisfy the next
generation of scholars. Please help us help them.
References are available upon request.
I'll look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks & best regards,
Tom Zubal
