RE: Restrictions on acquisition requests?
From:

My library's collection development policy does not contain any
restrictions specifying what we do not purchase for the
adjunct/part-time faculty. The policy states that the library "solicits
recommendations for new titles from the Law School Faculty." However, in
practice, we don't normally purchase materials such as court rules or
state codes for adjunct faculty while the full-time (either tenured or
"untenured") faculty requests are usually filled without major issues.
Our policy is not posted on the website but if you need it, I can email
it to you.

Question about collection policy
From:Dana Hendrix <hendrixd_at_southwestern.edu>
<mailto:hendrixd_at_southwestern.edu>
Are there any academic libraries out there that by policy restrict
library acquisition requests to tenured/tenure-track faculty only--i.e.,
will not purchase any materials at the request of visiting/part-time
faculty?
If you can send me a link to your policy that would be helpful too.
Thanks,
Dana
