Evaluation Section*
Hot Topics Discussion Group
Saturday, June 29, 2013
10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Location: Hilton Chicago - Grand Tradition

What's It Worth?? Collection development is one of the most rapidly
changing areas in libraries and assessment is more important now than
ever before. Current economic realities and serious interest in "return
on investment" have brought both assessment and evaluation to the
forefront in all kinds of libraries. Participants will exchange
information on how their institutions implement assessment activities,
the methodologies they are using, and the outcomes that result. What
works and what doesn't? How do the results affect collection
development models, decision-making, budgeting, 'big deals,' and
cooperative arrangements with other libraries?

Please join us for a lively and and thought-provoking discussion on this
very hot topic. All conference registrants are welcome.
