Not the answer to the question you asked, but...

The Best Translated Book Awards is helpful, with yearly long lists and
short lists
http://www.rochester.edu/College/translation/threepercent/index.php?s=btb

Dalkey Archive's Global Translation Initiative
http://www.dalkeyarchive.com/aboutus/?fa=Translation

is, unfortunately, more focused on European than Asian literature

Here you may browse by country

The Man Asian Literature Prize may be of some help

So the America I loved still exists, if not in the White House or the
Supreme Court or the Senate or the House of Representatives or the media.
The America I love still exists at the front desks of our public libraries.

Clearinghouse for English language fiction set in foreign countries
From:

Hello,

#1 My question is if there is a clearing house(s) that focuses on books in English-language (including translations) fiction that is set in foreign countries. I'm not having much success with finding publishers that specialize in this field. I've seen a few lists from public libraries but they aren't very extensive. At the moment the best source seems to be Global Books in Print. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

#2 I have a similar question, I'd also like to know if there are publishers and/or a clearing house(s) that focus on fiction set in foreign countries (in particular Japan, China, Germany, and Spanish speaking countries) that are not written in the native language. Publisher catalogs need to be bilingual (include English) for selection purposes. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Regards, Michael Shires
