The Nelson Poynter Memorial Library of the University of South Florida
St. Petersburg (USFSP) seeks an entrepreneurial, collaborative,
innovative and service-oriented Associate Librarian for the new position
*Associate Librarian --* *Scholarly Support Services and Special Projects*.
USFSP is a separately accredited university within the University of
South Florida System. USFSP offers bachelors and master's degrees in
Business, Education, and Arts & Sciences to approximately 6000 students.
The University is experiencing growth in both undergraduate and graduate
enrollment and prides itself on a personalized student experience and
providing students with opportunities for conducting original research.
The person in this position will work to develop and implement
face-to-face and online library services tailored to faculty and student
research, provide liaison to one or more academic departments, and
contribute to collection development, reference, and instructional
support for the University's academic programs. This position will also
focus on planning and implementing special projects including, but not
limited to, open access initiatives, review of the Library's use of web
services and social media, grant writing, and innovative teaching and
learning efforts. This position reports to the Library's Head of Public
Services. Librarians have faculty status and are eligible for promotion
through the ranks but are not tenured.
