How to collect for K-12 curriculum?

Hello Collective CD Wisdom,

When you need to have K-12 textbooks in your academic library,
particularly newer ones as your Education Department may be up for
accreditation, how do you come up with the needed (expensive, quickly
out-of-date) books for your collection? Do you solicit donations from
area teachers, and if so, how? As more high schools go to ebooks, are
any states including those in their library counts for accreditation?

Thanks for any and all advice,

Mara Egherman
