CDL: Information Age Press?

On their website you can find a sample contract. There are several
problematic issues
here.
First, the author assigns the copyright to the press. Second, the author
shares a 10% royalty
with the series editor. Third, the author has to provide camera-ready copy.
I would not call this a vanity press, so much as a press that has found
a way to make money
off of desperate academics who do almost all the work and get paid only
a tiny amount
of money from sales. This is not unusual in dealing with a few academic
publishers.
