All,

For those of you with book repair programs, how much bibliographic
searching (OCLC, HathiTrust, your e-book collections, etc.) do you do
before repairing circulating collection materials? When so many items
are now available in e-book form, do you withdraw the physical volume,
especially those in poor and/or brittle condition, and provide a link to
an available e-copy instead?

And, if you do this kind of preliminary bibliographic searching, who in
your organization does that? Inside the repair dept. or elsewhere?

Thanks for any program specifics you can provide.
