Dear Library Friends:

In a continual effort to understand the cost-effectiveness of eTextbooks, a team of
faculty from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN, is distributing an online survey
to academic library employees. The survey will address how libraries handle print
textbooks and eTextbooks and their associated costs. This survey will provide valuable
insight as to the increasing institutional costs to support eTextbooks for students.

The survey is available at

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/etexbook

and will remain open through November 31, 2011.

We would greatly appreciate if you could forward the survey to academic librarians,
library staff, and library administrators who process acquisitions, collection management,
eResources, circulation, or reserves. You are welcome to contact the researchers for
survey results. All survey data will remain confidential; no names of individuals or
institutions will be collected, and all data will be kept confidential.

We thank you for your input and support, and look forward to sharing the results of the
survey with you. For additional information about the eTextbook survey, please feel free
to contact the researchers:
