We hold new books for approx. 3 weeks, for patron browsing. After
that, they are put in the stacks.
In an undergraduate library we don't deal with bestselling authors in
the way that a public library might. If a book is in high demand, we
can always put it on reserve for a short-term loan (1-hour; 4-hour,
1-day, etc. )

1.We keep them in the New Book collection for about 6 months. We date
stamp them on the top with the date they are put into the collection.

We do occasionally adapt this time frame... to account for space needs
or gaps.

2.We don't have a maximum.
