Offer of Library of American Civilization

discarded or unwanted materials. This is a unique collection
and the rules are bending for a moment for this.
Thanks, The Management.]
Greetings,
We have a duplicate set of the microfiche collection Library of
American Civilization. Here's a description: A collection of 4,500
titles focused on all aspects of American life and literature from
their beginnings to the outbreak of World War I it includes books,
pamphlets, periodicals and documents, many of which are out of print.
According to OCLC, all the 9,500+ titles have MARC records, and 94% of
those have subject headings. The five volume catalog which includes
author, title, and subject indexes is also available.
If by chance, there is a library out there who still collects major
microform sets, this one is available for the taking or the price of
shipping. Physically, they take up 6 standard microfiche drawers. They
also require a special lens because the fiche are "ultrafiche" where
the text image is smaller than usual.
Please let me know by July 29 if you are interested.
Jonas
