CONFERENCE OVERVIEW*:

The IDS Project's 8th Annual Summer Conference is Tuesday, August 2, and
Wednesday, August 3 at the Albany Law School in Albany, NY. This year's
conference theme is "Valuing Community and Innovation." Over 250
attendees are expected.

This year's conference is packed with information and training regarding
exciting new strategies for discovery, acquisitions/collection
development tools & strategies, and implementation of best practices for
resource sharing. Session tracks include ILL/DD; Acquisitions/Collection
Development/Technical Services; Information Technology; and Library
Administrators.

In addition, this year's conference will be offering two immersive
Institutes--one on ILL/DD Best Practices, and the other the Getting It
System Toolkit (GIST). GIST is the new ILLiad-based acquisitions
software and tools that provide easy work flow integration of ILL and
Acquisitions for improved collection development and standalone Gift and
De-selection tools.

We have also created a series of sessions on the new IDS Search, an
innovative union catalog built around the IDS resource-sharing network.

You can choose to follow an entire track or institute, or choose
individual sessions from across each track.

We hope you will join us for one of the country's best and least
expensive resource sharing annual conferences.

Ed
