Collection Management and Preservation Strategist

The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus Libraries seek a visionary and experienced
individual to define and support the life cycle curation and management of legacy analog
collections for one of the leading research institutions and libraries in the country.
This new position emphasizes an innovative model for managing collections within the
context of user need, digitization and digitized resources, local and shared storage, and
resource sharing. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Access Services, the
individual will provide Libraries-wide oversight and coordination for collection
management, preservation, and conservation, while working in close collaboration with
essential partners within the Libraries and within other consortial initiatives.
Required qualifications include ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library or Information
Science or equivalent combination of advanced degree and relevant experience, and three or
more years substantial and successful professional experience in collection analysis,
