The ALCTS-CMDS Collection Assessment Committee Program: “Collection Evaluation
During the Economic Crisis: Case Studies in Academia.”

Sunday, June 27th from 4:00–5:30pm in the Washington Convention Center (WCC),
Room 146B.

The ALCTS-CMDS Collection Assessment Committee would like to invite you to our
annual program entitled “Collection Evaluation During the Economic Crisis: Case
Studies in Academia.” Academic libraries are facing difficult economic times and
many libraries are experiencing budget cuts. This program provides three current
examples of cancellation projects at academic libraries. The program will
address topics such as:

      · Budget management
      · Project organization
      · Evaluation and Assessment of library resources
      · Future budgetary concerns

We have three wonderful speakers who have recently completed assessment projects:

Chuck Eckman University of California, Berkeley
Gerri Foudy University of Maryland
David Fowler University of Oregon
