"Retaining Distance Students from Diverse Groups in Higher
Education: How Can Libraries Help the Effort?"
-Join the Distance Learning Section at ALA Annual in Chicago as
we explore the librarians' role in the retention of distance
education students from diverse backgrounds. The program will
consider how the provision of library services can have a
significant impact on the off-campus and online students who
often rely on these services to complete their degrees. Has your
own library made a significant contribution to your institution's
retention efforts? Retaining the distance education students we
serve is vital to our own future as well as theirs. Learn how
libraries can implement and promote services that aid in retention.
