As science librarians we are familiar with Big Science
(large-scale projects funded by national governments or groups of
governments), and Little Science (science taking place as
individual or smaller group efforts). Add to these E-science
(science that involves collaborative – often global -- exchange
of research information requiring access to data sets) and you
have the formula for a fascinating discussion of our emerging
role in the scientific research process taking place on our
campuses. Please join us.
