Position Announcement - Head of Acquisitions, UC Berkeley
The UC Berkeley Library invites applications for the position of Head of
Acquisitions.
Reporting jointly to the Associate University Librarian for Technical
Services and the Associate University Librarian for Collections, the
Head of Acquisitions will provide leadership in developing and
implementing policy and procedures for the acquisition of library
collections in all tangible and electronic formats by purchase,
exchange, depository, gift, and collaborative programs. The Head of
Acquisitions will have direct management responsibility for the
Collections Core Services and Gift and Exchange divisions of the
Technical Services Department. The Head will work closely with
selectors to facilitate acquisition in a timely and cost-effective manner.
