Subject: Building your library's music collection?
From: Lauren Arieux <laurenarieux_at_gmail.com>

Hi all!

I have been recently charged with a project to build my library's
music collection (on CD), and I'm trying to find examples of other
libraries' collections to use as a guide. I was told to focus on
classical, jazz, world, and Alabama musicians, but also to throw in
some "classic rock and country." Basically the staples... Anyway, I
was wondering if any of you had a good source I could browse to get
some ideas, or if you knew of a library with a particularly great
music collection. Luckily, budgeting doesn't pose a problem. This is
for a mid-sized public library in Birmingham, Alabama.

I would appreciate any insight!

Thanks,

Lauren Arieux
