Gentle Readers-

Your faithful moderators have about "settled our brains for a long
winters nap." If out on the list there arises such a clatter, I
will put down my beer and spring from the lawn chair to
see what was the matter, and away to the computer I'll fly like a flash.

This is to say, the list will be running slowly these days to and
around the solstice, but in early January will again "dash way! dash
away! dash away all!"

   Winter Trees

All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

      -William Carlos Williams
