Mike,

I'd be happy to work with you on identifying libraries to benchmark 
your library collection against using the WorldCat Collection Analysis 
tool.  Once you identify the gaps in your collection, there are 
publications you can use to help estimate the amount of money it would 
take to fill these gaps.  One such publication is Bowker Annual: 
Library and Book Trade Almanac.  In this publication, you'll find 
average prices of materials (by subject) for periodicals, hardcover 
and paperback books, academic and college books, etc.
