==Summary==
From: Paul Metz <pmetz_at_vt.edu>
When I posted the note about how collection managers make use of
Innovative's statistics on in-house use to colldev-l I promised to
summarize to the list, so here goes.
I heard from only three people, one of them not involved in collection
development. No one felt the data-capturing slowed down processing
much at all. One institution finds the data useful in weeding
decisions. Another combines the data with SFX and SerialSolutions data
on links to electronic content and has found this useful in driving
cancellation decisions.
We at Virginia Tech do plan to implement this -- in the reference
areas at first, and then more widely once we have it down. Thanks to
all who responded. -Paul Metz
