Please join the ALCTS CMDS Collection Management for the Practitioner 
Interest Group at ALA.

We are meeting:
Sunday, June 24, 2007
1:30 - 3:30 pm
Wyndham Washington DC; Room -- Sherwood.

We are planning to discuss the following issues but are always open to 
other issues of interest to the attendees:
A.  E-books
       -- Selection and evaluation
       -- Single publisher packages
       -- Trends

B. Institutional repositories
       -- Effect on collection development planning and allocations?

C.  Approval plans
       -- Strengths and weakness in collection development
       -- Profile adjustment

Also, following the guidelines for Interest Groups, we will be 
nominating and voting for a new vice-chair at the meeting.  If you are 
interested in running for vice-chair but unable to attend the meeting 
let me know.  Brian Quinn, Texas Tech University Libraries, is the 
current vice-chair and will become chair after annual.
