Subject: in-house use statistics
From: Paul Metz <pmetz_at_vt.edu>

We have had Innovative's Millennium ILS for a couple years and are
thinking of starting to capture item data on in-house shelving. I'd be
interested in hearing from the heads of colldev in academic libraries
who have done this. Specifically,

* in terms of cost, has it been a hassle, has it slowed down
reshelving much?

* in terms of benefit, what kinds of macro (budget) or micro (let's
store this journal, we need another copy of that book) benefits have
you derived?

I will cheerfully summarize for the list, so just reply to me. Thanks.
