Colleagues,

The Steering Committee of the ALCTS/CMDS Collection Development Librarians 
of Academic Libraries Discussion Group has selected the following topics 
for discussion at our upcoming meeting at ALA Annual. The meeting is 
scheduled for Saturday, June 23 from 1:30-3:30 pm in the Washington Room of 
the Washington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle NW. The topics are:


1. Working with Classroom Faculty to Promote Collection Use­Facilitator: 
Rebecca Stuhr

2. Collection Development Collaborating with ILL­Facilitator: Allan Scherlen

3. Marketing and Outreach for Library Collections­Facilitator: Debbi Smith

4. Models, Strategies, and Procedures for Collection 
Assessment­Facilitator: Julia Gelfand

5. Re-Envisioning, Significantly Retooling, and Completely Overhauling 
Collection Management Programs­Facilitator: Sally Willson Weimer
