The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Libraries seeks an innovative
and future-oriented library leader to become the Director of Technical
Services, a division of the Libraries comprised of two departments:
Materials Ordering and Receiving and Bibliographic and Metadata Services.
This senior management position, reporting to the Dean of Libraries, will
leverage technology and staff creativity to address the next generation of
library technologies particularly as applied to discovery and access tools,
integrated library systems, acquisition and cataloging of materials, and
electronic resources management. The UNLV Libraries value library-wide
visioning, planning, and collaboration and seeks a Director of Technical
Services who shares that value and who will work closely with other senior
managers and with staff from across the Libraries in group decision-making
structures.
