The University of Florida Libraries seeks a creative and
service-oriented subject specialist for engineering.  The incumbent is
responsible for the development and management of selection in all
formats of the Engineering collection, in cooperation with two other
engineering selectors.  Specific departments of the College of
Engineering will be assigned after hire. Associated with the primary
collection management responsibilities, the selector will be expected to
provide specialized instruction, and end user/online services, by
appointment and referral. (See:

The subject specialist is an integral member of the Marston Science
Library team, providing all forms of science reference services,
including desk staffing, electronic services and ongoing training,
offering responsive and imaginative liaison services.  Specialists are
expected to keep informed on new technological developments and library
issues related to access and engineering selector. (See:

Anticipated minimum salary is $42,000 per year.  Final salary is
commensurate with education and experience of the selected candidate.
