How do libraries handle gifts in obsolete formats? Or offers of gifts
in obsolete formats? Does anyone have a webpage with suggestions of
where to sell or donate?

With the opening of the Templeton Music Museum
(http://library.msstate.edu/content/templates/?a=1026&/), we have
received many offers of music recordings in older formats — 78s, LPs,
reel-to-reel, etc. Our record collection is seldom used and we aren't
adding to it. We've politely declined some offers, but would like to
offer potential donors alternative places to sell or donate materials
that may be useful but are in formats we no longer collect.

Thanks for your help,
Ginger
