WorldCat Collection Analysis (Live Online)
To make the most of your acquisitions budget, your library needs precise
data that reveals its strengths, gaps, and overlaps in subject-matter
coverage. WorldCat Collection Analysis is an online service that allows
libraries and library consortia to analyze their collections and compare
to peer libraries that have their holdings in WorldCat. Ongoing access
to new and updated analyses makes it simple to manage processes for
acquiring, weeding, canceling, and preserving. You'll get the data and
reports on demand, be able to better shape your collection development
activities, and have solid evidence for funding justification. By the
end of the class, you will be able to analyze the age and subject
content of your collection, compare your collection to that of other
OCLC member libraries, and generate exportable and printable reports
that show exactly where your collection stands. Find out how to use
WorldCat Collection Analysis through lecture, live demonstration, and
a question-answer session.
