All,
I was wondering how many or if any of you have canceled your print
subscription to Contemporary Authors and gone electronic only with the
Gale Literature Resource Center? And if so have you found this is
working for you.
Thanks for any thoughts.

We cancelled CA long ago mainly because the information was not enough
for the students. They needed to know more about the authors. We have
since cancelled DLB because of the repetition within the volumes even
though it is not complete in the Literature Resource Center.
Do you find CA being used very much?

Hamilton College is seriously thinking about going in this direction
but hasn't made the move yet. We're currently gathering price quotes.

Yes, We made the same decision. We are finding that most of our
students want to do research exclusively from a computer. (Principle
of Least Effort. They don't have to find the book, find the page,
find the copy machine, etc.) Although we still have the bound vol. on
the shelf in Reference, I never have anyone request them. They are
usually thrilled when you show them the online version; especially
when you tell them that it is also available from their home.
