In the next few years we plan on building two new facilities. We are
reviewing our selection and acquisition procedures in anticipation of this
growth. We'd like to know how other libraries administer their selection
process to see if there are ways for us to be more efficient and/or
effective.

We currently have a decentralized process with a Collection Manager and 15
selectors (all librarians). Our materials budget is a little over $1
million and we have a main library, two facilities, and a bookmobile.

We're especially interested in speaking with people from regional systems
that have about 3-7 branches. But we'll talk with anyone!

If you would be willing to talk on the phone, or answer a few questions
via e-mail, please contact me off-list. If people are interested, I'll be
happy to summarize what we learn and post to the list.

Thank you!
