CDL: Vendor fair

Has anyone held a vendor fair at their library?  Something
like a mini-exhibits at ALA or a state assoc. meeting.
We are thinking of inviting several of our online
vendors to set up for an afternoon, give some how-to
classes in a wired classroom, pay for tea and crumpets,
etc.  Any experience or wisdom?  Our target is
faculty and graduate students.
