Acquisitions Managers and Vendors Discussion Group
The Acquisitions Administrators and the Acquisitions Managers
and Vendors Discussion Groups will be meeting together on
Sunday, January 16, from 2-4 pm
in Boston in the Constitution Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel.
How are books and journals mediated between library and publisher by
a vendor?
David Kerin, Vice President and General Manager from EBSCO, and
George Rego,
Chief of Operations at YBP Library Services will be pulling
back the curtain on vendors' 'back rooms.' There have been presentations
in various forums on the 'supply chain'--i.e. how do the materials
get from
publisher to library; however we believe that this is an opportunity
to meet
a different cast of characters that will make for a very interesting
discussion.
