From: Bill Kane <billk_at_alibris.com>

With the deadline fast approaching, here's just a quick reminder
regarding the application process and timeline for the second annual
Alibris Collection Award -- a collection of books valued at $3,000.
More information about the award is available online, at
http://www.alibris.com/librarians/collection_award.cfm.

Each applying library need only provide a short statement (not more
than 300 words) concerning the general nature of the desired
collection, and the particular need for grant support, as well as a
list of the desired titles, ideally cross-checked against the Alibris
in-stock inventory, and saved in WishList
(http://www.alibris.com/wish/login.cfm?S=L) format.

Entries must be submitted by December 1, 2004, and may be submitted
via email to libraries_at_alibris.com.

Applications will be reviewed in December by a panel including Mark
Sandler, Collection Development Officer at the University of Michigan;
Lynn S. Cline, Head of Acquisitions and Collection Development at
Southwest Missouri State University; Lynn Sutton, Library Director at
Wake Forest University; Dr. Richard Weatherford, Alibris founder; and
Jack Walsdorf, consultant and book scholar.

The grant will be awarded at the American Library Association
Midwinter meeting in Boston, in January, 2005.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,
--Bill
