Hello, Everyone!

Similar to Donald Guy's request, I need to know this information 
as it applies to a diploma nursing school library.  How do I 
determine the appropriate collection development parameters 
for currency in my library.

I've been told everything from 10-20 years for journals and 
books. I have found no written standards either from the 
National League for Nursing or the American Nurses Association.  
Can someone help me?  Are there standards for the collection?
