howdy. the library of our small, regional, liberal arts university (master's
granting) is weeding the "G" section, and most of our geography books are aged
and un-circulated. i'm wondering if any of _you_ know of a core bibliography
of these titles that i can consult, and from which i can draw newer titles.
thanks very much.

I don't know of a core bibliography, right off hand, but you may find it
helpful to put one together using the catalogs of sister institutions
your size, or a bit larger. If you used four or five respected ones,
and identified the titles that are common to most of them, you could
decide that this was a workable "core bibliography", or a reasonable
substitute for one. In doing exercises like this, I often also select
university library catalogs that can limit by year or by decade. This
makes the job of comparing titles quite a bit easier. e.g. only titles
published after 1990, or whatever cutoff year you want to use.
