We have retained the pre-1956 NUC, and
it is still used occasionally. We did remove to Storage the various
parts of the post-1956 sets, and I don't think we have had any complaints.

Kansas State University has kept one copy each of all the sets.

We've kept our pre-56 imprints in the reference collection. All 754
volumes have received a total of 26 recorded uses (re-shelving count)
over the past 3-4 years or so. There's been discussion of moving them
to our shared remote storage facility, but so far, we've opted not to
move them. We've not discussed discarding them.

Ohhh, that takes courage, considering they were purchased
at about $1,000 for every 5 volumes! I will be interested to
see who has actually done this. Our reference folks have
put Mansell in a very inconvenient spot, but I still check it
occasionally and find that it does have things that don't
show up in webcat and other sources.

==19==

If ours wasn't discarded it's lost somewhere in storage. Only once in
the nearly nine years that I've been here has it been requested; that
was by a faculty member from the History Dept. I was able to get what
he needed from OCLC.
