Call For Papers - Following the success of its first pre-conference session in 2002, the Collections
Development and Management Interest Group of the Canadian Library Association will be holding
 its second all day pre-conference session on the future of collections in libraries in Victoria on
June 16, 2004. The location will be announced shortly. The Interest Group invites submissions
for papers or panel discussions on topics such as the following: Collection development, Collection
evaluation, Consortial purchasing, Co-operative collection development, Electronic journals ,
Evaluating vendor performance, Government documents, Grey literature Preservation of electronic
resources, and Weeding.  Individual papers or panel discussions should focus on the future directions
of the topic chosen and should be timed to be delivered or presented in approximately 20 minutes.

Please send a title and an abstract of approx. 250 words by April 1, 2004 to Linwood DeLong,
