**Apologies for cross-posting.**

Greetings,

The Women's Studies Section of the Association of College and Research
Libraries has created many resources over the years intended to assist
librarians as well as scholars, faculty, and students identify and
locate materials in women's studies.

These resources are available through the section's website at
http://libr.org/wss/.

If working with women's studies isn't part of what you do in your job,
please take a moment and forward this message to any interested
colleagues, librarians, faculty members, students, or other folks.

Thanks!

Collection Development Resources
     http://libr.org/wss/committees/colldev.html
The Collection Development Resources website aims to assist librarians
in the identification, selection, and evaluation of resources in
women's studies. The site features a variety of components including a
checklist to evaluate women's studies collections; award winning or
notable titles; film & video resources; sources for reviews; women's
studies publishers; a bibliography on collection development in
women's studies; and sources for keeping current with scholarship and
activities in this dynamic field. Future additions will include links
to library collection development policies for women's studies.

Core Lists in Women's Studies
     http://www.library.wisc.edu/libraries/WomensStudies/core/coremain.htm
The Core Lists in Women's Studies are selective bibliographies of
in-print books appropriate for libraries supporting undergraduate and
masters programs in women's studies. The lists assist women's studies
librarians and collection development librarians in building women's
studies collections. Because the lists include only books currently in
print, they also serve as a guide to teaching faculty in selecting
available course readings. Each list consists of 20 to 75 titles. The
lists are updated each January.

Core List of Journals for Women's Studies
     http://libr.org/wss/projects/serial.html
This Core List of journals in women's studies assists women's studies
librarians and collection development librarians in building women's
studies collections. These serials provide a foundation for study and
research from a feminist perspective. Titles in the core list cover
the disciplines of women's studies, humanities, sciences and social
sciences.

Electronic Resources Information and Assessment
     http://libr.org/wss/projects/electronic.html
The bewildering nature of electronic resources, overflowing with
format changes, provider changes and vendor mergers, makes an
objective assessment of these products difficult and challenging. This
resource is intended to assist librarians with collection development
responsibilities and interest in the area of women's and gender
studies. It presents data on commercial databases available with
updated information on scope, content, cost, etc. Available reviews of
these products are also listed.

Women's Studies Database Instruction Guides
     http://libr.org/wss/projects/guides.html
These Guides were created and are maintained by members of the Women's
Studies Section Instruction Committee. They were developed in order to
assist librarians in teaching students and faculty how to more
effectively and efficiently use women's studies databases. The
Committee identified nine core databases that contain content
primarily related to women, gender, sexuality, and/or feminist
studies. The guides are in .PDF format so that librarians can easily
print them as class handouts and will be updated as needed.

WSSLinks: Women and Gender Studies Websites
     http://libr.org/wss/WSSLinks/index.html
WSSLinks provides access to a wide range of internet resources in
support of Women's Studies. Members of the Women's Studies Section
maintain individual subject pages. We welcome editors of subject pages
who would like to contribute a page to this resource. WSSLinks is a
selection of the Scout Report and a member of the World Wide Web
Virtual Library.

The section also publishes a twice-yearly newsletter that is available
free in print to members of the section, and free electronically to
anyone else. http://libr.org/wss/newsletter/index.html
