Iowa State University Libraries are adding NEW faculty positions. As a
result, we have 2 openings for science librarians - in Biology &
Ecology. Both positions can be entry-level or higher. Salary and subject
area responsibilities are variable depending on qualifications of
successful candidate.
ISU currently has 7 science librarians on staff and there are approximately
20 staff who work at the Reference Desk. For the most part, it's a
centralized campus and the new positions include working reference in a
main library setting (with all types of questions, not just science-related).
We require research/scholarship for promotion & tenure and have a strong
mentor program in place to assist new librarians headed down this path as
well as a track record of research projects with multiple co-investigators.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the position, but
please reply directly to me instead of the list.
