I compare circ statistics vs. collection size in broken down LC
classes. While I have kept circ statistics, I have not kept reserve
statistics. It occurs to me, that I really won't have an accurate picture
of circ collection use, unless I figure in circ books that are checked out
while on reserve. To make it more complicated, some reserve books are
reference books. Do libraries differentiate between reserve books that
belong to the circulating collection, and books from the reference
collection when collecting statistics? Do you combine regular circ book
statistics with reserve statistics? Essentially, what sense to you make
of your reserve statistics?
Your thoughts on this would be helpful. Thank you,
